Privacy Policy

Blipta is a flight tracking app. We designed it to work without accounts, logins, or personal information. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

No account required

Blipta does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email, or phone number to use the app. You can search and track flights immediately.

What we collect

What we don't collect

No location data
No contacts, photos, or files
No advertising identifiers

Analytics and advertising

We may use analytics tools and advertising measurement services (such as server-side conversion tracking) to understand how the app is used and to measure the effectiveness of advertising. These tools may process anonymised or aggregated usage data. We do not sell your data to advertisers. If analytics or ad measurement tools are added, this policy will be updated.

Push notifications

If you enable flight alerts, a device token is sent to our server so we can deliver notifications. On iOS this uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs). On Android this uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can disable alerts at any time in the app, which stops notifications immediately.

Flight sharing

When you share a flight, a unique link is generated. The person you share with can see the flight details and, if you set one, your sharing name. No other personal information is exchanged. Share links can be removed at any time.

Third-party services

FlightAware — provides flight data. Blipta sends flight identifiers to FlightAware's API. No user data is shared with FlightAware.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android only) — delivers push notifications. Google receives the FCM device token. See Firebase Privacy.
Apple Push Notification service (iOS only) — delivers push notifications. Apple receives the APNs device token. See Apple Privacy.

Data retention

Your data is retained only as long as needed:

Visitor ID cookie expires after 1 year
Flight registrations are removed when you untrack a flight or the flight data expires
Push tokens are removed when you disable alerts or uninstall the app
If you clear your cookies or reinstall, your previous data becomes orphaned and cannot be recovered or linked back to you

Data security

All connections to Blipta use HTTPS encryption. Push notification tokens and user data are stored on a private server with restricted access. No data is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling.

Children's privacy

Blipta does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app displays publicly available flight schedule data and does not contain age-restricted content.

Your rights

Since Blipta uses anonymous identifiers and no accounts, there is no personal data to request, export, or delete. If you clear your cookies or uninstall the app, all association with your data is permanently severed.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in the app's store listing.
